Exhibition History
[?] Exhibition of Original Drawings at the Gallery, No.20 Lower Brook Street, Grosvenor Square, 20 Lower Brook Street, 1805, no. 123, 124, 125, or 126 as 'Towards the head of the Lake of Como'

In 1805 Towne exhibited four works called Towards the head of the Lake of Como. Of these, one is very probably FT321, but the three others are presumed lost. Several other coloured sketches of the lake survive but what is known of their inscriptions makes it unlikely that they were among these exhibits.
