Comment

This is a copy after a lost work (FT528a) but much in the style of the reworked Lake District drawings made on large Italian paper, such as FT528. This drawing confirms that pupils drew from Towne’s heavy painted work and not only his more spare watercolours with heavy pen lines and flat washes.
