Commissioned by 2nd Viscount Courtenay and sold by his son, 3rd Viscount Courtenay, at Christie’s on 15 February 1817 was a group of “Capital Loose Drawings by Towne”. Lot 1, “View of Powderham Park and Belvedere, View of the Fort and across the River Exe, one other, tinted”, for £1 3s. to Farthing. This is the “one other, tinted”, the other two drawings in the lot are FT119 and FT121.
